Richards & Brennan storefront and shoe factory
Title
Richards & Brennan storefront and shoe factory
Description
This factory on South Main St., produced shoes for the Richards & Brennan Shoe Company. The company began on Highland Ave., on a site later occupied by Chase and Sons. It then moved to the former G. H. Burt factory on South Main St. The South Main St. site later became the site of the Randolph Manufacturing Co., or Randy, Shoe Factory. As of 2020, it is the site of the Union Square Townhouses and Randolph Square Plaza. The focus of this image is the one-story storefront where some of the factory's goods were sold; the attached factory can be seen to the right of the storefront and extending far behind it.
