Turner Free Library
Title
Turner Free Library
Description
This Turner Free Library building was built in 1875 and burned down in 1962. The building had space for businesses on the first floor, while the library occupied the upper floors. In this image, a sign for the Saunders Bros. Market hangs on the south half of the first floor. This may have been the Saunders Meat Market, which was earlier housed in the Knights of Columbus building.
