Description
At the time this photograph was taken, Crawford Square was known as Central Square. This image shows the Howard House Hotel, which was torn down ca. 1925, on the right. In the center of the square is a stone drinking fountain and trough and an elm tree; more elm trees line North Main St. To the left stand the Turner Free Library and the Turner/Beach Estate. A caption beneath the image reads "Central Square, Randolph, Mass. 3890- published by Porter's Pharmacy." The card was originally sent to Miss Daisy Miller of Campello, Brockton, MA, by H. F. B.
