Description
At the time this photograph was taken, Stetson Hall served as the Town Hall. This band was directed by Thomas Goeres, a boot tacker who lived on West St. The volunteer band marched in local parades and held summer concerts. Included in the photo are (front row, L to R) Bert Beals, Percy Thompson, Cliff Archer, (second row, L to R) Sam Foster, Bill McLeer, Edward Roddan, Thomas Goeres, Hank Wales, an unidentified band member, Henry Dunphy, (third row, L to R) two unidentified band members, Ernest Baker, an unidentified band member, Joe Williamson, Dr. (?) Locke, Malcome Hawes, Arthur Shedd, Frank Beals, and Jake Bennam.
