At the time this photograph was taken, Stetson Hall, built in 1842, served as the Town Hall. Patriotic bunting hangs between the columns at the front of the building, possibly to celebrate the nation's bicentennial. In the foreground of the image, a woman walks down the sidewalk in front of the building.
